AE7203 Solar Power Engineering Assignment – Kingston University London, UK

Assignment Title – Solar Low Carbon Efficient Building

Module Learning Outcomes –

LO1 – Demonstrate an in-depth understanding of solar energy principles, analysis, systems design and applications.

LO2 – Select, analyse and apply suitable solar power technology to facilitate an optimum design, including construction and operation.

LO3 – Demonstrate an in-depth awareness of key issues and influences surrounding solar energy deployment.

LO4 – Appreciate the impact of social, economic and environmental practices and energy policies on corporate social responsibility and business management.

Assignment Brief – It is recognised that the residential premises are responsible for a major proportion of CO2 emission and by changing design of buildings to more sustainable form of energy efficient buildings together with other measures, the global target of 50% reduction in CO2 emission can be achieved by 2050.

The purpose of this assignment is to identify areas of energy requirements in buildings and thus specify a renewable energy conversion system capable of delivering some of the energy requirements of a building based on solar energy alone. Increasingly use of PV systems for direct electricity generation is becoming popular, solar water heating systems using liquid and air are also becoming commercially popular for space heating and hot water supply in buildings, including combined PV and hybrid systems and other alternative CHP systems.

MOST RELIABLE AND TRUSTWORTHY AE7203 SOLAR POWER ENGINEERING ASSIGNMENT HELP & ASSESSMENT WRITING SERVICES AT YOUR DOORSTEPS!

For this individual assignment you assume the role of a consultant engineer submitting a bid and proposals for a project on conservation of energy in building using active and passive (Hybrid) systems on a specific location of your own choice. As far as possible use of software simulation technology such as POLYSUN and field or exhibition visits should be considered and included, nevertheless in your report you should consider the following:

1. Literature survey

2. Conceptual approach to final solution to the problem

3. Solar Potential and meteorological data of the location concerned

4. Schematic design & development of systems considered

5. Function and role of integrating parts or components used in the system

6. PV and Solar Water Heating integrated simulation using Polysun to replace CW2 practicals for the learning outcomes

7. Method of analysis and estimating performance of the system such as f-chart

8. Socio-economic, environmental, legal and political implications

9. Solar economic and cost analysis of the system

10. Discussion and evaluation

11. Conclusion

Note – The INDIVIDUAL report should follow the Kingston University report standards, including layout, formatting, referencing, etc. You have to cite relevant sources properly.
