Introduction
You are required to propose a stormwater pipe and pit layout for an urban sub-division.Design data refer to the stormwater runoff calculations for worked Example – Inlet spacing in Lecture 11.
Determine the pipe design and pit levels for the Lowside of the road and complete the blank.
Hydraulic Design Sheet with the relevant design data. Assume the kerb and gutter grade is 0.5%. Even though the peak discharge Q in L/s/m will change based on the adjusted fall of the street kerb and gutter, you do not need to re-calculate it, simply use the original data as calculated in the lecture.
Assume 150 mm concrete pipes with Ks = 0.6 mm and grated inlets with 50% blockage.Note that in practice, larger diameter pipes would be used allowing for the pipes to flow partly full under minor storm events. However, calculations for these situations present difficulties for hand calculations.

2. A Short Technical Report. Follow the instructions given in the document How To Short Technical Report.pdf and the student checklist the end of that document. Include
• The design calculations
• The completed Hydraulic Design Sheet (Use the A3 version). Alternatively, youthe electronic version of the Hydraulic Design Sheet
• An annotated neat sketch of the long section showing pit levels and HGL
• A discussion about the effect of the chosen pipe size on the HGL and any changes that should be made
