Choose two pieces of your own writing. This could be an email and a poem, a text message and a Reddit comment, a paragraph from an essay and a passage from a short story, etc. Anything you have written, but they have to be two different types of writing.
Analyze your tone in each. Compare and contrast them. Write up to one page comparing them.
For each piece, answer these questions:
Who is the intended audience?
What is the message you wanted to get across?
How did you tailor your words for this medium?
How did you tailor your words for this audience?
