Unit Learning Outcome assessed:
Use clinical knowledge and skills to conduct a comprehensive mental health and physical health assessment and plan care for a person with complex health issue in a clinical environment.
For this assessment you need to watch the video of a case study on ‘Cecilia’ provided and address the following sections:
Introduction:
1) Write an introduction to the case study and state the focus of your paper (100 words) (1 Marks).
2) Using information from the video, describe Cecilia’s mental state by completing the following components of Mental State Examination (MSE) (800 words) (22 Marks).

Present your MSE section using the subheadings stated above. Please note that you must validate any specialised terminology you use. For example: The person (use the person’s name) was agitated, as evidenced by appearing to be tense and easily irritated. DO NOT discuss background information in the MSE section. An MSE is a snapshot of occurrences at the time of the interview. The way the person is presented; the information they gave during the interview; the clinician’s interpretation of the MSE constructs at the time of assessment.
Remember most of the MSE constructs such as affect, mood etc. are dynamic and can rapidly change, that’s why the MSE should be a snapshot of what happened or how the person is presented in the interview. *Please note: This question relates to amental health assessment interview and therefore in-text citations should only be from the video clip. Other external references are not required. You are required to timestamp all the evidence in the video that you are using to support your MSE.
3) Using the information from the video, identify and discuss the actual and potential physical health issues that is associated with
Cecilia? (700 words) (10 marks)
4) Complete a brief risk assessment form for Cecilia and attach the BRA as appendix after the reference list (1 mark)
5) Use the information you have gathered in the MSE, BRA, and the information about her actual and potential physical health issues, formulate a comprehensive care plan that is effective to support Cecilia to achieve her health and wellbeing. Your care plan MUST have a focus on both personal and clinical recovery (800 words) (10 marks).

Provide a summary of the key findings from your case study. In other words, effectively summarise the main points of your assignment. It is not necessary to support the conclusion with references as these are your own inferences or interpretations of the key aspects of your assignment (100 words) (2 marks)
