Instructions: Live Nation Entertainment produces over 29,500 events in 40 countries each year. In 2017, Live Nation hosted over 86 million on-site consumers at its events and invested $5.6 billion to put on its events that year. You and your group members are assuming the role of Live Nation employees. You will work to create a brief marketing plan for a new proposed concert tour. You will need to select an artist that they do not currently have on tour and create a professional presentation that includes off the required elements below. Be sure to follow the rules of good presentations and include images!

Artist Selection

  • Give an overview of your artist selection
    • Why this artist?
    • What are their recent hits/sales?
    • Why should live nation work with this artist?

Branding and Promotions

  • Create branding for your proposed tour (should have a name and clear vision/theme)
  • Create two promotions and explain media choices
    • Must have at least one social media ad/page
    • Options: Prints Ads, Internet Ads, sales promotions (give-aways/sweepstakes)

Sponsorships

  • Establish one corporate sponsor for your artist’s tour.

    • What will the sponsor provide
    • What are the company’s expectations of the artist/Live Nation

Tour Schedule

  • Propose a tentative tour schedule that includes the following:
    • Dates
    • Cities/Venues
      • Be sure to research Live Nation venues and utilize if possible. Be prepared to justify your selections!

Projected Sales/Outcomes

  • Projected Ticket Sales Revenue per city and total overall
    • Helpful hint: research other similar tours ticket sales
  • Social Media Impact
    • Project the outcome of your social media promotional efforts
      • Number of hits/views/followers
