Assessment Description
Use the GCU Library to perform a search for peer-reviewed research articles related to your approved PICOT question. Find three peer-reviewed primary source research articles. These articles should be either qualitative or quantitative and should not include Literature Reviews, Meta-Analysis, or Systematic Reviews articles.
You may use either peer-reviewed health care or nursing journals. The peer-reviewed articles must have been published within the last 5 years.
Use the “NSG-324 Table of Evidence” template to document your detailed assessment of each primary study. This document helps break down the components of each article to ensure the article meets the requirements for a professional nursing paper. Ensure that each of your articles provides information that meets each criterion listed. Provide a detailed and clear explanation when describing how each article supports your PICOT question and evidence-based practice (between five and six sentences for each area of the document).
While APA format is not required for the body of this assignment, solid academic writing is expected, and intext citations and references should be presented using APA documentation guidelines, which can be found in the APA Style Guide, located in the Student Success Center.
This assignment uses a “Table of Evidence Grading Form” that corresponds to the “NSG-324 Table of Evidence” template. Instructors will be using the grading form to assess the assignment and provide feedback, so students should review the grading form prior to beginning the assignment to become familiar with the assignment criteria and expectations for successful completion of the assignment.
You are not required to submit this assignment to Lopes Write.
