Your assignments should be adequately referenced. Refer to the Harvard Referencing Guidelines at the beginning of your Course Notes or in your Learner Support Module for more information on how to correctly use intext citations and compiling a bibliography.

The Chevron College AI Assessment Scale is a framework that defines the permitted levels of AI use in your assignments. This scale ensures clarity about when and how you can use AI tools in your coursework while maintaining academic integrity. Each assignment you receive will specify an AI level (from 0 to 4) that indicates exactly how you may use AI for that particular task.

Each assignment will need to be presented with a cover page, signed authorship statement, table of content, main body of work and one bibliography at the end of your assignment.

You can use either Times New Roman or Ariel Font (size 12) with 1.5 line spacing.

You can use the questions in your assignment brief as headings in your assignment. This will keep you grounded and provide structure to your assignment.

Performance Criteria

Part A (20 marks)

• Create a Parental Handbook for a fictitious Early Years Service catering for children 2.5 years to 6. This handbook should include the services statement of purpose and function, curriculum, daily routines, health and safety policies and procedures, behaviour management approach, communication strategies, complaints etc.

Reference to the Quality Regulatory Framework, Children First 2015 and National Quality Frameworks are required.
