For this assignment, you will need your dependent variable and two independent variables from your data set. If you have more than two independent variables, use the two most important variables.
Dependent variable – independent variables from your data set
For this assignment, you will need your dependent variable and two independent variables from your data set. If you have more than two independent variables, use the two most important variables.
1. Variable description.
Firstly, where did you find the variables?
Secondly, how are the variables measured (measurement level)?
Thirdly, provide a table of descriptive statistics.
Fourthly, describe the variables (central tendency, skew, etc.)
2. Bivariate statistics are an important part of statistical analysis. Up to now, we have examined differences between groups (T-tests), statistical independence (Chi square), and measures of association (Gamma, Cramer’s V and Correlation). Run an appropriate test for each of your independent variables and the dependent variable (two separate tests). Provide the following information for each.
Firstly, research and null hypotheses.
Secondly, results of the test.
Thirdly, interpretation of the results.
3. Run a multiple regression with at least these two independent variables. Interpret the following:
a. Goodness of fit.
b. Joint significance.
c. Primary independent variable.
