Students will demonstrate social responsibility by choosing one policy issue that will contribute positively to one’s family, community, society, or their environment. Explain how your chosen policy affects both the federal and state/local governments and the relationships between the different levels of government. Does the political culture of a state or locality change how individual citizens or groups of citizens view your policy? Suggestion: Go to procon.org and look at at a variety of topics that may be of interest. This site will give you some brief arguments for and against an issue. Feel free to apply one that you find there or if you have a different thought than you may put that in your proposal.These will also cite their sources, so that is a good place to start finding relevant material to begin your research. Once you have found your issue, please locate three scholarly/peer-reviewed citations on relevant articles. Term Paper Final Draft Instructions: The Final paper needs to have a cover sheet with your name, class, and title. The body of the paper needs to be 750-1000 words (not counting quoted material and citations). This is about 3 pages minimum for the actual paper, the cover sheet and Reference page makes for a total of 5-6 total pages. The paper needs to be written in Times New Roman or Arial font 12, double-spaced with one inch margins. You should utilize either APA or MLA standards.
