Each student will create a timeline of a subject, topic, person, institution etc. that comes from the timeline of the class – the Third Reich.  You will look at the cultural importance and how it (they, she, he etc.) evolved until they died or the war ended or the program ended.

In your research you will need to include a minimum of 3 academic sources for your topic; and must include all your sources the end of the presentation.  Your timeline can be created in either Word as a document or in PowerPoint as a slide show.  You will need an introduction about the subject of your timeline – why you chose the topic that you chose.

If you were to say choose the topic of Adolf Hitler you would of course start with his Birthdate, then move on through the important dates in his education, the move to Vienna and his mother’s death, the first World War and his being injured and spending time in a hospital.

You will continue in this theme until you end with his suicide in 1945.  Each date on the timeline will be joined by a paragraph that explains the significance of the date.

See Readings Module for a short example of a timeline.
