Research Statement

The Rationale behind this thesis proposal is to Investigate risk management practices and the factors implemented to eradicate the risks in the construction projects. As per my knowledge and experience, every construction project has its own risks, and construction targets get delayed, hence there is a need for proper risk assessment and implementation. Risk management is an important tool to achieve project objectives in terms of time, cost, safety, quality, and sustainability. Risk management is an iterative process that is beneficial when it is implemented in a systematic manner throughout the lifecycle of a construction project, from the planning stage to completion.

However, the industry has a very poor reputation for managing risk, with many projects failing to meet site safety, deadlines, and cost agents.
