Clinical Setting Comparison

Working in groups of two, select two diverse clinical settings, such as emergency department, intensive care unit, women’s health, oncology, acute rehabilitation, skilled nursing facility, pediatrics, geriatric primary care, sports medicine, or dermatology. Compare and contrast the following: content, features, need, and value of data, information, knowledge, and clinical decision support that would be required of an FNP in these settings. Make sure that you include the concept of the four expanding rings of information from the asynchronous content (EMR, warehouse, regional, NHIN/PHIN) in your analysis. Describe how your selected clinical areas align with the design or features of your clinical information system. Each member of the group is expected to participate. The paper should adhere to APA writing and formatting guidelines and be free of spelling and grammatical errors. The page limit is 5-7 pages, excluding title page and reference page.
