For the purpose of future research work, childhood obesity has been selected because It has bn seen that the rate of an affected child in obesity is higher than the adults. The prevalence of obesity a. overweight among children aged between 3 to 10 years has increased drastically from 4, to 18% in between 1975 to 2017. Similarly in the year 2016, 19, of the boys and 18, of the girls were overweight. Overweight is a major reason for children to suffer from this epidemic. According to a report published by the World Health Organization, 38 million children under the age group of 5 were prone to obesity in the year 2019. In the global context, the number of dead people due to obesity or
overweight is higher than underweight (Katzmarzyk et 2019). In the world, the number of obese people has tripled since the time of 1975. This scenario presents that obesity is becoming a concem for the community and It is consider. an epidemic.
