Suppose you have been asked to speak to a group of undergraduate preservice special education teachers about assessment and evaluation. For this task, prepare a PowerPoint presentation in which you discuss requirements and procedures for assessment and evaluation under the Response to Intervention model for students suspected of having a disability. Then, discuss procedures for assessment and evaluation for students who receive special education services, including the expectations for assessment accommodations. Analyze the challenges of assessment and evaluation for both of these groups of students.
Length: 10-12 slides (with a separate reference slide). Include 3-5 sources.
Notes Length: 150-200 words for each slide.
Tip: You can get help using PowerPoint “Notes” through the “help” function of PowerPoint. If you save the presentation as a webpage, your notes automatically display. Your notes can fill the role of the speaker, giving your audience the background and details that a speaker would provide during a live presentation.
Your presentation should demonstrate thoughtful consideration of the ideas and concepts that are presented in the course and provide new thoughts and insights relating directly to this topic. Your presentation should reflect scholarly writing and current APA standards. Be sure to adhere to Northcentral University’s Academic Integrity Policy.
