Describe the protagonist’s career and impact on the city’s design culture, investigate the projects the protagonist was involved with, along with the historical, economical and political contexts, and legacies.
Write a short, approximately 1,000-word contribution developed in
the format of a Wikipedia entry, ie. written for a general public audience with structure consisting of an overall introduction, followed by more in-depth paragraphs. The texts should include links to primary and secondary sources—like an Wikipedia-entry—to substantiate the text. Above all, reading the entry is meant to be attractive and entertaining for the audience.
Note: I was going to write about Lucio Costa’s activities inside the Brazilian government (f.e. His role as national chief of the Brazilian Historic and Artistic Heritage Institute). But it can be about any other architect or urban designer that might be better suited for the assignment. Thanks!
