Students will choose from a current bill or amendment that relates to public health policy as being voted on in this 2019-2020 fiscal year in the State of California. The student will: (each section worth 20%)
A) Interpret and analyze the health policy bill or amendment including the bill’s plan to affect the delivery of healthcare, patient advocacy, health prevention and promotion in California.
B) Describe how the ideas and concepts of the bill or amendment align with current regulating bodies of nursing such as the CA BRN, ANA or NLN statements or policies.
C) Describe whether the policy enhances evidence-based nursing practice and determine positive or negative ethical issues associated with this bill.
D) Define ways how you as a nurse could persuade the legislators or the public with your opinion of the bill or amendment. (example write a letter to congress, community forum, poster ect)

For the short third paper on personal growth, this is a two-page paper. The student will: (each section worth 20%)
