Summative assessment task:
Using one of the case scenarios, please provide a reflective account of social work practice. (4000 words (+/- 10%))
Within this task you must address all four learning outcomes:
Demonstrate your critical understanding of the legislation, policy, theory and research evidence underpinning social work practice in relation to your chosen case scenario (LO1)
Critically reflect on the use of self and professional identity in relation to working with service users, particularly with reference to the chosen case scenario (LO2)
Examine the skills required to work with services users where there are tensions between care and control (LO3)
Discuss the ethical and value conflicts that can arise, with reference where appropriate to the SSSC codes of practice (LO4)
You should give a very brief summary of the case scenario to which your reflective account relates (as a guideline – 100 words max).
