What is predictive programming, and how does it differ from coincidence or artistic foresight in media and storytelling?
Aside from the examples in the article, can you identify other examples in movies, TV shows, or books that some claim predicted real-world events? How convincing are these examples?
How might programming reflect societal anxieties or mistrust in institutions?
In what ways could predictive programming be used intentionally—if at all—by creators or governments, and what ethical implications would this raise?
