Philosophical Response Essay II should:
Analyze the argument in the philosophical text by concisely summarizing its premise and conclusion, tracing its logical course, explaining how specific inferences and reasoning relate to the argument as a whole, and identifying important imagery and thought experiments.
Critique the argument by evaluating the quality of its assumptions, evidence, reasoning, and conclusion. This analysis and critical assessment should include clear and direct praise and criticism, and ideally indicate ways in which the original argument could be modified, in presentation or substance, to make it stronger.
Raise specific objections to the original argument, especially by pointing out logical inconsistencies, insufficiently well-grounded intuitions, and unstated assumptions, and by devising carefully crafted counterexamples and thought experiments.
