I love studying cultures especially Chinese and Caribbean islands. I am learning chit and did a summer intensive program for NSLI-Y.

4. At Princeton, we value diverse perspectives and the ability to have respectful dialogue about difficult issues. Share a time when you had a conversation with a person or a group of people about a difficult topic. (I was in a conversation with people who did not know I am a Hispanic and they said something derogatory about Hispanics and I had to educate them on the role colonization plays in development of stereotypes and the benefits of welcoming people from different cultures as opposed to fear and prejudice. What insight did you gain, and how would you incorporate that knowledge into your thinking in the future? All people have ideas based on fears that can be cured through education.
