Background And Current Practice
The current information to obtain data regarding covid is through google search, government websites, journals and news articles. Most of these websites can provide specific information that the user will be looking for. These searches can range from new cases in a desired location, active cases, where the hotspots are, how to prevent covid, what are the precautions once someone gets it, and so on. But what it doesn’t show is a concise information of all data related to covid in one page. A user has to go to different pages to look at what information they are looking for.
With the proposed project, it will be able to provide concise information where all key and relevant information related to covid is in one place.
Project Aims/Objectives
Smart Goal Setting:
- S – To create concise information related to covid in a website where data are updated regularly to benefit the citizens.
- M – Accomplishing this project would provide knowledge and information to the users. The group would aim to gather as much data regarding to covid response.
- A – Data and information has been available to various government websites and reliable news agencies. What is currently being done right now is information is spread out in every article and webpages. Our aim is to gather all that information in one place for convenience.
- R – Given the time and resources available published by the government sites, information from WHO, news agencies, and other non-profit organizations, the goal could be achieved and within reach during this pandemic.
- T – The project could be carried out to 6 months or more since this relates to the current information and up to date data.
Project Benefits
People who would like to closely monitor covid cases, news, trends, and announcements would have all the information in one place. This could be used for safety purposes during the pandemic. It helps to minimize the spread of COVID and people can know about new implemented rules by the Government.
