Provide at least one example of how women’s roles changed from the colonial era through the Gilded Age (up to 1890). You may want to consider some the following: perceptions of femininity/domesticity, women’s organizations/reform, women at work, and the idea of the maternal commonwealth. Your answers should address issues of class/race and incorporate at least one of the sources we have discussed so far.
Your answers cannot be comprehensive, so focus on an aspect of women’s experiences that you can compare/ trace over time.
