Consider that you work for the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and that the community has growing concerns about the ways in which their online data is being used. They are demanding the repeal of both the Uniting and Strengthening America by Providing Appropriate Tools Required to Intercept and Obstruct Terrorism Act (USA PATRIOT Act) and the Uniting and Strengthening America by Fulfilling Rights and Ending Eavesdropping, Dragnet-Collection and Online Monitoring Act (USA FREEDOM Act).
Your supervisor has asked you to write an essay explaining the acts and how they can benefit the community and the nation.
Your essay should at least address the following points:
a detailed description of each act in ways the community will understand,
the reasons why the acts were created,
the ethical considerations of each act,
the consequences for misusing the act, and
an example of where each act has helped prevent a terrorist attack.
You are encouraged to use the CSU Online Library, as well as relevant, up-to-date industry resources to support your PowerPoint presentation. All sources used must be properly cited, and references should be formatted in APA Style.
