Can one discriminate without being prejudiced? If so, what examples can you think of? How about the case of Rogers, Arkansas? Were the native white folks at Rogers necessarily prejudiced (and/or discriminatory)? Can it be explained otherwise? If so, how? If someone brings the issues of SOCIAL DISTANCE, and explain how they are tied to this case, that will be great. Bear in mind that the Rogers case is a very complex one. What if something like this were to happen to your hometown? How would you (or the folks in your hometown) have reacted to this sudden change? Is the Rogers case comparable to what’s going on in Utica, NY (Bosnian immigrants) or Schenectady, NY (Guyanese immigrants)? Are you aware of any other similar cases in the United States?
