Task Purpose:
To demonstrate your ability to plan, draft, and format three complex business documents based on a workplace scenario at Bounce Fitness.
Scenario Summary:
You are a Senior Fitness Instructor at Bounce Fitness. Your manager has asked you to prepare business documents to support the purchase of new gym cleaning equipment within a $50,000 capital budget.
Equipment to be included:
- Floor scrubber machines
- Heavy-duty janitor trolleys
- Commercial 3-in-1 shampoo carpet cleaning machines
You are required to prepare the following documents.
Task 1: Content Overviews
Write a content overview for each of the three documents below:
- Business Case – A justification for purchasing the new cleaning equipment
- PowerPoint Presentation – A summary of the business case to present to staff
- Procedure Document – A guide on how to use and maintain the floor scrubber machine
Instructions:
- Use the Content Overview Template provided
- Refer to the Bounce Fitness Style Guide
- Each overview should be no more than 1.5 pages
- Proofread your work before submission
Task 2: Document Drafts
Use the content overviews you developed to draft full versions of the three documents:
- Business Case Document
- Format your own document (no template provided)
- Maximum 3 pages
- PowerPoint Presentation
- Use the provided PowerPoint template
- Maximum 10 slides including the title slide
- Procedure Document
- Use the procedure template provided
- Maximum 2 pages
Ensure the following:
- All content aligns with the overviews created in Task 1
- Tailor content to the intended audience
- Follow Bounce Fitness formatting, tone, and language standards
- Check grammar, punctuation, and clarity throughout
Assessment Guidelines:
- Submit all files through the Learning Management System (LMS)
- You have three attempts to submit a satisfactory assessment
- The documents created in Assessment 2 will be used in a role-play task in Assessment 3
