Behaviour, Part A

DEVELOPING A PERSONAL
PHILOSOPHY FOR GUIDING
BEHAVIOUR Why should teachers have
a personal management
plan?
My Classroom
Management Plan McDonald, 2019 p. 265 Consider the following three aspects: Philosophy – the study of the fundamental nature of
knowledge, reality, and existence, especially when
considered as an academic discipline. Theory – a supposition or a system of ideas
intended to explain something, especially one
based on general principles independent of the
thing to be explained Practice – the actual application or use of an idea,
belief, or method, as opposed to theories relating
to it Positive Learning

Behaviour:
Your personal
management plan Letter to Families • As an appendix, prepare a one-page document which communicates the nature of
your design and its merits to families. • Your letter should be clear, accessible, and engaging. It should contribute to
building/sustaining strong and respectful relationships with families. • This component of the assignment is not included in the word count. Things to consider:
• The letter needs to be on one page. • The letter needs to make clear the nature of your design and how it is of benefit to families • Write as if you have not met the families – this is your first introduction.
• Use accessible language – avoid acronyms or colloquialisms • Make the letter engaging • Use language that makes clear to the reader that you are respectful of the parents and willing to
engage them in their child’s learning
Ethical and Professional Requirements Consider weaving these into your assignment and perhaps a short section that outlines
that this was done and what was considered. The path provides wheelchair access (addressing ACECQA’s National
Quality Framework, standard 3.1.1) Check AITSL Standards at the top of the Assignment brief.
This assessment provides the opportunity to develop evidence that demonstrates these
