Article Analysis
After choosing and reading your article, download the ‘Discussion Post #2’ file (both PDF and Word version are available, pick the one that works best for you!) and write a response summarizing the article (at least 100 words) and reflecting on the effectiveness of the author’s science communication (at least 50 words). When commenting on the science communication in your response, it might help to consider the following questions:
How did the author use images in the article? Did the images support the information they were presenting?
How was the writing style? Was it engaging? If yes, how so? And if no, what could have the author done better?
How was the level of the information presented? Could someone with no astronomy background understand what the article was about?
After writing your reflection on the article, you will need to answer two discussion questions.
Question 1
In this section, choose either Question A or Question B to respond to. Your response to the question you choose in Part 1 needs be at least 50 words.
Question 2
In this section you will answer a question regarding life in the Universe. Read carefully so you answer all parts. Your answer for this section needs to be at least 150 words.
