By executive order, the Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nehayan Foundation was created in July 2007. With the aim of working towards the provision of health, education, and community development services for underprivileged populations inside and outside the UAE, the Foundation is an autonomous institution reporting to a Board of Trustees. Regardless of nationality, ethnicity, language, or religion, its aim is to serve all of humanity through efficient assistance programs that cater to the needs of the most disadvantaged.
