Title:
“Culturally Competent Practice in Social Care” How can social care workers provide effective, respectful, and inclusive support to individuals from diverse cultural and ethnic backgrounds, while upholding principles of cultural competence, social justice, and non-discriminatory practice?
Aim
The aim of this assignment is to assess your understanding of culturally competent practice and social inclusion within the context of social care. You will demonstrate knowledge of multiculturalism, ethnic diversity, societal attitudes, and the importance of non-discriminatory, respectful, and inclusive practice. The assignment should also assess your understanding of professional duty of care when planning support for diverse populations and your ability to identify and challenge social injustice.
Academic Instructions:

- Draw on relevant literature, legislation, and codes of practice (CORU/ Irish Legislation)
- You must support your work with at least 5 academic sources (books, journal articles, or reputable professional guidelines).
