Assessment Description

As a teacher of ELLs, you will need to familiarize yourself with English Language Proficiency (ELP) Standards, theories of language acquisition, and the stages of second language acquisition. You are not expected to memorize these but know how to access the information and be able to properly use it in developing instruction for ELLs.

For this assignment, complete the “English Language Proficiency Standards Scavenger Hunt.” As you complete this open-book quiz, you will need to access topic resources including your textbook, the Arizona English Language Proficiency Standards 2019 for Grades 6-8 and 9-12, the 2019 English Language Proficiency Standards Guidance Document, and the Glossary for the 2019 English Language Proficiency Standards.
