ARCH2170 Learning Objective and Task

The objective of Assignment 1 is to establish basic BIM modelling skills that include site and massing modelling.

You will build a partial site model for a terrace house in response to a given brief. You will be guided by weekly lectures and computer lab tutorials that will lead you through each stage of creating your basic BIM model. A set of videos is also available at the Moodle course site to provide technical guidance. The intention is that you learn the basic BIM modelling skills and process by working through the guide and then apply those techniques to the gradual development of your own design model, starting from the basic BIM model (which is Assignment 1) to the detailed BIM model (which is Assignment 2).
