Part 1: Introduction to the essay and rationale. 10% (Approx 300words)
Brief Background, what the company is. Eg, Global company in Singapore, what business they are in, what they sell.
Scope you wish to focus on (eg, geographic/business/products)
Problems/challenges faced by the company (eg,falling sales, mistake made, change taking place in the organization, the need for restructuring etc)
When thinking of the problems, it should be related to the theme.
Part 2 : Brief section justifying your choice of theoretical perspective, either on SI or Post Modern.20% (600 words)
Write a short statement on your chosen perspective for this report.
Provide brief discussion on the chosen perspective – what it is, its focus, the benefits. This will help to justify your choice.
Brief on research limitations, disadvantages of chose perspective. This can be in 1 or 2 statements.
Briefly discuss the reason why the other perspective is not chosen.
CANNOT COMBINE PART 3 AND 4 TOGETHER.
Part 3 – 700 – 800 words 20%
Critical literature review, it is not about the company. Cannot talk about the company. There will be models relating to a particular perspective.
Example, Culture + SI (Cultural web / Schein’s iceberg model)
Culture + PM (Deconstruction model etc)
The review must be done base on the perspective chose. Explain 1 or 2 models based on the perspective you have adopted for the assignment.
Part 4 – 1100 words (30%)
Evaluation of the practices
How do you see the culture of the company
Part 5 – 300 words 10%
Summary based on your analysis
Include brief recommendations
Part 6 – Strtcure and Reference List (10%)
