Part1 In the Week 5 Discussion, you will collaborate with your peers and describe the assessments you will use in your classroom. Be sure to include assessments throughout the lessons and discuss how the assessment aligns to your objectives and goals. Summarize and reflect on the assessment process observed (in the classroom provided examples of the proper use of data), including confidentiality and appropriate instructional decisions. Explain how assessing students in elementary school will guide them toward achieving the Minnesota Graduation Standards. Describe how you use a technological platform in your unit to track student performance and analyze data to interpret results, including how you share this data responsibly with your cooperating teacher, students, and University Supervisor to receive suggestions for improving instructional practice and maximize student learning.( I use matrix for my assessment and so does my cooperating teacher) ——————/////////- Part2 As you reflect on the best way to plan instruction for all students, remember that students should be thinking for themselves. The new curriculum in our nation is based on understanding the concepts, not memorizing them. If critical thinking and problem solving are incorporated into each lesson, students can be guided toward their own conclusions. This is a skill that will stay with them over the course of their entire educational career. Teaching them only the facts will be ineffective as these facts will fade over time. Explain how you planned for multiple intelligences and how you create a mutually-respected, collaborative community of learners in the class. Explain how you designed lessons based on students’ interests, strengths, and prior knowledge. Explain how you modified assessment for all learners (gifted and talented, students who have an IEP, and students from diverse backgrounds). Describe any challenges you faced regarding differentiation. Explain what you learned throughout the program and your field experiences regarding when and how to access services and resources to meet the needs of exceptionalities. (I have one student that has a iep) and most of my students in my classroom are Hispanic)Part1 In the Week 5 Discussion, you will collaborate with your peers and describe the assessments you will use in your classroom.
