This assignment involves preparing a 4,000-word in-depth case study on one sustainable issue of a particular tourism type. Then discuss and present a strategy in which to deal with this sustainable issue applying the CSR principles in tourism industry.
Your specific type of tourism could be Events, Historical/cultural traditions, Wildlife Tourism, package holidays based in a tourist destination from one of the following Country’s. e.g., Romania, Hungary, Goa, Pakistan, India, Thailand, Brazil, England, Poland
and Spain.
The Tourist destinations in these Country’s could be from where you are from or where you have visited, which will enable you to utilise your existing knowledge.
This must be submitted in Microsoft word format. You must include appropriate in-text citations and references according to CCCU Harvard referencing.

Submit a case study incorporating
A definition of both Tourism Impacts and Sustainable Development.
An outline of and discuss Tourism Impacts and Sustainable development theories and concepts covered in class.
An outline of both the negative and positive Tourism impacts at your chosen destination linked to a specific type of tourism (outlined above).
Focus on one sustainable issue of a particular type of Tourism in your chosen Tourist destination. Then discuss and present a strategy to mitigate against, applying CSR principles in the tourism industry
Utilise a wide variety of research materials (4,000 words).

Choose a destination from the list and a specific type of tourism (see list below) and conduct research, analyse and present findings and recommendations on one sustainable issue and how it could be mitigated against at your destination.
Events (Mega sports events Tourism (Olympics, Camp Nou – Barcelona, Spain, Wembley Stadium, Krakow Cracovia Marathon), gigs/venues (Glastonbury, O2 Arena, Goa Carnival, Shigmo Festival, Brasov International Contemporary Theatre Festival) etc.
Historical /cultural traditions (e.g. Queens Jubilee, Spiritual, Religious events e.g. Roman Apulum Festival, Transylvania International Film Festival) etc.
Wildlife Tourism, Adventure, Environment (K2 Base Camp Trek, Old Silk Road, Karakorum Wildlife Tour, Thailand & Laos Adventure, South Pantanal & Bonito Eco-Tours) etc.
Package Holidays (two-week family package holidays in the city, by the sea or in the countryside).
Tourist Destinations and events/activities can be held in: Romania, Hungary, Ukraine, Goa, Pakistan, India, Thailand, Brazil, England, Poland and Spain.
Research and discuss different factors which impact the destination and outline emerging situations (health, political, environmental etc..) using different analysis theories and concepts.
Utilise images/photos, maps, graphs, tables etc. to assist you in clearly conveying your research and demonstrate your knowledge.
