Select one of these SGX-listed companies and criticise the rationale, comprehensiveness and quality of their reporting on the SDGs, and how is this integrated with the company’s sustainability strategy and priorities.

Propose THREE (3) ways in which the company can improve its reporting on the SDGs.

iFixit, an established repair website, ended its two-year partnership with Samsung in June 2024 (https://www.theverge.com/samsung/2024/5/23/24162135/ifixit-endsamsung-repair-parts-deal).

Estimate the costs and benefits of ending this partnership for both iFixit and Samsung. Propose THREE (3) ideas in which Samsung and other consumer electronics companies can adopt that balance the repairability and commercial viability of their products.

Question 4

A public relations (PR) agency has been engaged by an e-commerce platform to develop and implement a communication plan to promote responsible consumption amongst the platform’s customers.

Formulate this communication plan on behalf of the PR agency. The plan should contain (but is not restricted to) the following: target audience, key messages, communication channels, tracking and reporting.

In the answer, you are also required to evaluate the risk of greenwashing and how to safeguard against this.
