Description:
The objective of this course is to provide a foundational knowledge on basic principles and applications of inorganic chemistry. The following topics will be covered: modern atomic structure, nomenclature of inorganic compounds, bonding theory, magnetism, periodic trends, and chemical reactivity. Additional topics include fundamentals of organometallic chemistry and transitional element chemistry and their application towards material properties, catalysis, and bioinorganic chemistry.
