Did you know that bones can also get diseases too?

Andrew Wells 2/18/22 The Skelital System The Skelital system is one of the most important body systems in your entire body. Without it, we would look like puddles. The Skelital system has 206 bones in it. Bones can help us with stuff like walking, sitting, and talking. These are all of the reasons why the Skelital system is important to the human body. First we have marrow. Marrow is almost like jelly, but isn’t the same. There are two types of marrow. Yellow and red. Yellow marrow makes the production of fat cells. Red marrow makes red blood cells. Red marrow can make up to about 5 million blood cells a day! Next we have Joints. Joints are points where bones meet. Joints are cutioned by cartilage. Cartilage is smooth and durable. We also have ligaments and tendons. Ligaments connect bones. Tendons connect bones and muscles. When we move our muscles it pulls the tendon. The Skelital system is often grouped together with the Muscular system. Together they are known as the Localmoter system. These two systems are controlled by the brain. When the brain tells the muscles to move it also moves the bone. Did you know that bones can also get diseases too? Well they can, and there are many, but I will list two of them. The first one is known as bone cancer. When having bone cancer, your bones could get destroyed. This can spread to other tuisse. It doesn’t affect the other body systems though. The second one is known as osteoporosis. Osteoporosis can cause bones to get weak. Falling, bending over, and even sneezing can cause a bone fracture. You should keep every part of your body healthy. Even your bones and here are two ways how. If you fall off a bike you could fall and get back up. But keep on doing it, you could break a bone. That′s why you should wear a helmet, elbows and knee pads. That will keep you safe. A second way to stay healthy is by having lots of calsium rich foods including, cheese, yougurt, and milk. You should also get vitamin D which you get from the sun. These are your ways to stay healthy. Now the Skelital system is an extraordinary part of the body. It helps us run, sit, walk, talk, and so much more. Without them we would be puddles. We have 206 of them and the bones in your ears are the smallest of them all. So keep your bones healthy and your bones will be in great shape!
