You have been hired as a senior web developer who will look after development of a professional website with full eCommerce capacity and security enabled.Introduction to your client company – CTMDMA has recently secured a new contract with CT Mobile Pty Ltd to engage in website development and social medial marketing.Background information about CTM:CT Mobile Pty Ltd (CTM) is a mobile phone company located in Sydney, Australia. CTM imports smart phones and mobile accessories from Malaysia for sale in Australia.Ms Carol Minog, CEO of CTM, started her company in 2009 to meet the new demand for smart phones in Australia. The headquarters of CTM is located in Wynyard, New South Wales. CTM has its branch offices in the major cities of Australia including Brisbane, Adelaide, Perth and Canberra. At headquarters, CTM is supported by marketing manager, Sue Harrison, and sales manager, Christian Mondo.Information on CTM business operation:For each branch office of CTM, they are managed by the state manager who runs the shop autonomously and independently. Ms Minog has empowered each state manager with authority to be autonomous, as each state operates in a different market environment.Each state office manages a store/shop in their respective CBD. Each shop carries the CTM banner and shares similar interior looks. Ms Minog wanted a very clean futuristic look, and she has invested heavily in the shop interiors. The rent for each shop/store at CBD is approximately $1800 per week.The Sydney headquarters has the largest warehouse which stores products from overseas. The Sydney headquarters dispatches the products to each branch depending. Each branch office also has a small warehouse to store the electronic products. The warehouses, overall, are costing CTM about $500,000 per year.Sales and marketing are managed independently at each state office; however, the state managers must report to headquarters on a weekly basis. Each branch manager records all sales and other business information on Microsoft Excel spreadsheet, and forwards the record to the headquarters by email on weekly basis. The sales manager, Christian, then compiles and records all sales records for CTM on his desktop computer. Christian is aware of computing backup requirements and he backs up all business records on an external Hard Disk Drive (HDD). The overall record, however, is not available to state managers for viewing.

Ms Minog is very concerned about the future of her business. She has engaged DMA to discuss an online shop for CTM. She is also aware that CTM requires an eCommerce website with responsive interface (for mobile users) and social media marketing.
