Choose an organisation with which you are familiar:
1. Discuss and reflect upon its strategic journey and summarise the strategic opportunities or
threats facing your organisation post-COVID and for 3-5years ahead.
2. Critically reflect upon and recommend how your chosen organisation should develop its
strategy post-COVID.
In addressing the above questions, you should demonstrate that you engage with concepts and
frameworks that you have been introduced in the Developing Strategy module. Your discussion
should also include a critical evaluation of the chosen concepts and frameworks in the context of
your essay.
Module Learning Outcomes:
In this assessment the following learning outcomes will be covered:
LO 1. Demonstrate a critical understanding of the nature of strategy, and also demonstrate
an awareness of the different ways of thinking about strategy and the key issues facing
organisation with regard to developing, decision-making and implementation.
LO 2. Develop and evaluate a range of strategic development options and identify strategic
decision-making and communication processes in realizing strategy.
LO 3. Develop skills in critical thinking, analysis and synthesis; including identifying and
questioning assumptions, weighing evidence appropriately, identifying and challenging false
logic or reasoning, and generalising in a way which recognises the limits of knowledge in
strategy in considering how we develop strategy.
