Essential Lean Six Sigma and Validation is a module that needs to be viewed through the lens of your engineering qualification and how it can be incorporated into your future careers. Similar to what we discussed in class, quality needs to be embedded into the strategy of every organization and is not a separate operation to be completed in isolation.

With this in mind, the final assessment is 6 job responsibilities taken from various engineering graduate roles and can all be viewed through the material covered in class and I argue cover the learning principles required by Engineers Ireland.

There are many ways to get to any destination and there are many ways that each of these job responsibilities can be answered.  For example, House of Quality or Quality Function Development can be used for responsibility #1 Convert marketing needs into technical requirements.

Using the DMAIC process could also be used to answer #1.  There are many other approaches/tools to answer #1.  Each student can come up with the answer that best suits them.  In the real world, there is not just one way to solve any problem.
