This essay should be in the classical argument form. Show control of basic essay conventions like paragraph and sentence structure.
In addition, try to include the use of introduction and conclusion techniques for essays.
For example one technique is:
1. Offer your assertion in the form of a thesis or a topic sentence
2. Follow up that short assertion with evidence ideally from an outside, reputable source.
3. Follow up your evidence with commentary that explains how that evidence is relevant to and proves your original claim.
Another technique that could be included in your writing is the “quote sandwich” wherein a quote is first introduced by providing some context and background for the quote. The quote is then given and is followed by an analysis of why the quote supports the argument being made.
Overall requirements/things to look include:
Make sure there is use of the classical argument format.
Make sure there is an introduction and conclusion.
Be sure to address and effectively counter opposing arguments.
Use MLA conventions to format the essay and cite sources.
Use of at least two of the sources provided.
At least 750 words minimum, double spaced.
