Technical specifications: Proposals should:
be written for an audience of scholars in the field of your research
be typed, double-spaced, using 12-point font and ” to 1″ margins
cite correctly all sources, using Chicago/Turabian citation style. CH 18 Author Year
The proposal should not exceed 5 pages with an additional page of sources for the evidence section.
The proposal must use a minimum of 2 relevant, valid sources in each of your body paragraph as evidence of the claim made in the topic sentence.
Outline Structure should follow the exact format or else the student will lose points. Each of these questions1-5 should be answered separately exactly in the format asked. The Body paragraph sentences for each body paragraph should be answered exactly as in the assignment and sample outline.

3. The research question you are pursuing about your topic and
4. A working hypothesis of your research question. Working hypothesis is an answer to your research question. It is also known as a Thesis Statement which is a statement of position and overview of points of argumentation go here.
5. BODY PARAGRAPH section will be the bulk of your proposal as it will provide answers to your research question. Each Body paragraph starts with one main big idea also known as topic sentence. This main idea will need to be proved by supporting evidence cited from a scholarly source and explanation of the same. This will help structure and develop your first paper draft. (2-3 paragraphs for each BODY PARAGRAPH SECTION). SAMPLE ATTACHED IN THIS ASSIGNMENT ITSELF. The sample is a pointer in the right direction only. Evaluate your source or sources for the topic sentence as supporting
evidence. Your first evidence should be a scholarly source which is essential for this assignment. In addition, as you research and write more you can use data/statistics or a case study/example as a second source for supporting evidence.
Body Paragraph 1: Consists of topic sentence, supporting evidence 1 and 2, explanation of the supporting evidence in their respective paragraphs and a direct statement on how your supporting evidence supports the claim you are making. This provides authenticity and validity to your research.
