Your goal is to choose one of the following literary devices or elements to analyze in three different works (poems or short stories). You will provide quoted examples of the literary and then example how it contributes and connects to the work. For example: You may choose irony as your device. Choose three different works that use strong irony. Don’t just note that it was used. Discuss how and why the author used it. Does irony help describe a character and make him more genuine to the reader? Does the device help create mood or tone for the work so the reader knows how to respond?
