This is your chance to collate the knowledge you have been acquiring during the past 12 weeks (+/- 1500 words + 10 minute presentation)

For your final assignment you can choose a brand/company from one of the following sectors: Fashion (Luxury or Fast Fashion), Lifestyle, Motor, General Retail and analyse their ESG strategy. Select a company for which there is enough public information such as annual financial reports. In addition, a 10 recorded minute video (See below for details)

Written Report:

The report will include the following but limited to the following:

  • Introduction to ESG: please provide an overview of why ESG is important for businesses today. Please include statistics and trends. Do not provide definitions of ESG!!!
    ⚫ Overview of Brand/Company: Provide an in-depth overview of the organization i.e.) employees, revenue, product overview. Please also include the major countries the organization sells to as well as where the organization produces its good. You might also want to include the company’s 7’ps (use Appendices for this)
    ⚫ Overview of the Brand/Company’s target market. Please provide an in-depth overview of the Company/Brands target market and consider if for this customer sustainability is important. Please provide any relevant statistics and trends.
  • Environmental Analysis: Provide an in-depth overview of the brand/company’s environmental practices. Please consider the brand/company’s carbon footprint, water usage and sustainability initiatives. Please consider the company’s product or services and impact on the environment.
    Social Analysis: Please provide an overview of the brand/company’s social responsibilities. Please consider topics such as EDI, labour practises, supply chain ethics, giving back. Please review the organisations CSR programs. Consider any charity partnerships the organisation may have.
    ⚫ Governance Analysis: Analyse the brands governance structure in other words analyse their board of directors, executive compensation, transparency in financial reporting and any conflicts of interest. Please ensure that you examine your chosen company’s annual reports, sustainability reports and any other relevant sources.
  • Conclusion/Recommendations
    In your conclusion and recommendations please provide an evaluation of the Company’s /brand ESG practises. Consider what the Company’s/Brand could do better in terms of ESG and if their ESG strategy is in line with their target customer needs and demands.
