FORMAT REQUIREMENTS FOR THE ANNOTATED BIBLIOGRAPHY

2a. Be sure to provide the COMPLETE BIBLIOGRAPHIC CITATION in APA STYLE, INCLUDING ELECTRONIC IDENTIFICATION (e.g., DOI or URL if appropriate).
b. For each entry, include a 2-3 paragraph summary of the entry’s main points and/or your overall evaluation of the reference. The summary should be in your own words and not simply copied from the entry abstract or some other source; each citation summary should be written in complete sentences, typed, double-spaced, one-inch margins all around, 10-point font (4 entries total, 25 points per entry, submitted via Canvas no later than MONDAY, JULY 25 at 11:55pm).
c. The four bibliographic entries (25 points each; NO WIKIPEDIA CITATIONS) should come from popular sources such as newspapers, magazines, or even analysis of a television news program dealing with some issue of juvenile delinquency in media portrayals (e.g., coverage of specific delinquency events, statistics, op-ed pieces, and so on). It is recommended that you search for sources while completing the assigned readings each week, and choose references that will add to your knowledge and aid in answering the discussion questions, if at all possible. References can come from any time period (from the present back to the 1940s through 1960s covered in the text: you are encouraged to be creative and diverse, choosing citations that may help you answer weekly questions or add to the text coverage). Each reference chosen should include the complete bibliographic citation as well as a 2-3 paragraph summary (i.e., annotated in the student’s own words-not a direct copy of the abstract or any part of the article) of the reference’s main points.
d. It will be easiest for you to research and choose your entries via electronic searches, but you may also search hard copy sources in a library. I do not need nor want hard copy articles of your sources, but you must supply complete bibliographic citations per a and b above.
e. The entries should be organized as a list alphabetized by author’s last name per APA Style. The title should read ANNOTATED BIBLIOGRAPHY OF DELINQUENCY AND MASS CULTURE.
