the news source you used.

Maximum number of points for Each News Post = 50 points.
– If nothing is turned in by the deadline = 0 points
– If the post is made by the deadline, the 50 points are distributed as follows:

– The first 20 points will be a link to a reputable news source with the publishing date
(see examples of reputable news sources in this syllabus). The TA must be able to
access the article to get credit!

– The second 30 points relate to the two paragraphs required for the assignment.

●         15 points for the first paragraph where the piece of news is discussed; to get
full credit, you need to write a full paragraph (one sentence is not sufficient)
where you present a summary of the article you read/news segment you
listened to or watched; the article/news segment must have been published
within the last month; grammar and spelling mistakes will be penalized if they
make the text difficult to follow;
●         15 points for the second paragraph where the source of news is analyzed.
what is the audience targeted by that news source; can you identify any

inherent biases that news source may have (for example: do they have an
agenda and if so, what is it; who is their target audience; do they have a
particular political leaning; do they express the views of the owner, who is the
owner and what are their views; are they pro- or against a particular industry,
country, or policy issue). This second paragraph can be shorter, sometimes a
couple of sentences may suffice as long as the required content is covered.
