The most important part of this week’s drafting is to create a full-length eight-paragraph essay that follows the provided organizational structure seen below and meets the required 800-1000 word minimum.

Paragraph 1: Introduction & Thesis

Paragraph 2: Discussion of Source 1 Ethos

Paragraph 3: Discussion of Source 2 Ethos

Paragraph 4: Discussion of Source 1 Logos

Paragraph 5: Discussion of Source 2 Logos

Paragraph 6: Discussion of Source 1 Pathos

Paragraph 7: Discussion of Source 2 Pathos

Paragraph 8: Conclusion/Synthesis

Review the Comparative Rhetorical Analysis Essay guidelines and Week 5 lecture while drafting for the best experience. The most important part of this week’s draft is the words on the page. Focus on just getting it all down! Next week, we will work to revise, edit, and finalize this draft into our Final Draft, due in Week 6.

Remember that you also have access to the Comparative Rhetorical Analysis Example EssayDownload Comparative Rhetorical Analysis Example Essay for reference while writing.

You will notice that this First Draft’s rubric is based on completion. This first draft is worth 75 points. These points are awarded for your completion of a full eight paragraph APA-formatted essay draft that meets the 800 to 1000-word assignment minimum. As long as you complete the draft fully, with an attempt at APA formatting, you will be awarded 75 points. This week is all about creating without pressure, so be sure not to miss out on these easy 75 points!
