Background Information
Quantitativeresearch isa scientific methodthat objectively examines relationships betweenvariables. A quantitative study can be either experimental or non-experimental.Depending on the research design, quantitative research can numerically measurecause-and-effectrelationships or determinecorrelations between variables.Common quantitative research designs are exploratory, descriptive, explanatory, quasi-experimental, and true experiments. The goal of a quantitative research study is to be able to generalize the findings to other similar settings.
