I need a literature review consist of (2750 words) that explains and discuss the formation of urban identity, explaining how the mental image of an urban place is formed in people’s minds. Also, it discuss how modernity can affect the identity of the city.

I need an overview of the level of science on my topic and identify similar theories, methods, and gaps in this research.
The other (10 pages) talks about the history and the evolution of urban form in UAE, specifically the city of Dubai: how it was and how it became, and a comparison between (the traditional urban form and the modern one) and its elements, supported by maps that shows the evolution of urban patterns.(concentrate on Dubai because the thesis case is about Dubai)
and a brief table showing the characteristics, elements and the difference of both (traditional and modern urban fabric)

Research Aim:
The research intends to study the mental image formed in tourists’ minds when they see such a dramatic contrast in architectural styles, as well as to solicit public opinions and feedback from Emiratis and residents on how they “receive” and “perceive” these significant architectural changes.
Research Questions:
1. Was Dubai capable of forging a strong and distinct identity?
2. Is modernity jeopardizing the Emirati identity?
3. What was the first-time visitor’s impression of the UAE’s identity?
4. What is the mental image formed in their minds; the moment they saw this
massive difference of architectural style?
5. Were they able to say that these buildings represent Dubais heritage?
6. What policies and procedures could be put in place to improve the efficiency of applying the heritage architectural components in the country?
