In the Common Health Behaviors section some of you only wrote about common diseases of the population. Please add also about BEHAVIORS, including traditional health behaviors. In the Recommendations section, please provide SPECIFIC suggestions and ideas, not just general recommendations. Use the information you learned about the population, especially the common health behaviors and attitudes/beliefs to come up with some creative ideas for how providers can take these things into account to make the
services more culturally and linguistically appropriate. For example, if the population’s traditional sense of time is different than the modern sense and they have a hard time making it to appointments on time, then having more walk-in clinics might be helpful. Also, make sure to give specific examples of the home remedies, folk and traditional healing and spiritual practices used by the population. I emailed all of you an APA Reference Guide.
